A dynamic and well-constructed Camps Program for Years 7-9 supports the students holistic education at St Patrick’s College.

These camps expose students to a wide variety of learning experiences, all containing particular themes, activities and aims/objectives.

Year 7 Camp

Where: Teen Ranch
When: Term 1
Activities: Horse Riding, Challenge course, Canoeing, Giant Swing, Bush Skills, Rock climbing.
Aims/Objectives: Teamwork, Communication, Listening, Risk-Taking, Fun/Friendship Development, Problem-Solving, Resilience.

Year 8 Camp

Where: Santa Sabina College — Tallong Campus
When: Term 4
Activities: Small/Large Group Problem Solving/Challenge Activities, Low Ropes,High Ropes.
Aims/Objectives: Personal/Group Challenges, Leadership/Groupwork Skills, Resilience, Risk-Taking, St Patrick’s Community Relationship Development.

Year 9 Camp

Where: Biloela Bush Camp (Outdoor Education Group - OEG)
When: Term 2
Activities: Hiking, Abseiling, Raft Building, Alpine Rescue, Canoeing, Orienteering, Challenge Course.
Aims/Objectives: Respect/Responsibility for Self/Others/Environment, Accepting Challenge, Emotional Resilience, Goal Setting, Physical Well-being, Conflict Resolution, Community Action, Fellowship, Group Problem-Solving, Leadership.
