Aboriginal Advisory Committee
Celebrating and supporting our Aboriginal community
St Patrick’s College is proud of its strong and vibrant Aboriginal community. We deeply value the cultural knowledge, perspectives and contributions of our Aboriginal students, families and Elders. They enrich our school in countless ways, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where Aboriginal students thrive.
Aboriginal Advisory Committee
Our Aboriginal Advisory Committee plays a vital role in shaping the College’s approach to First Nations Education. Composed of community Elders, the Committee offers wisdom, cultural knowledge and strategic advice that help develop culturally appropriate programs and initiatives.
Their input ensures that our curriculum, activities and policies align with community expectations and promote respectful partnerships.

Dedicated support and cultural guidance
The aim of our dedicated Aboriginal Education Assistant is to support Aboriginal students, embed Aboriginal perspectives into the curriculum and provide meaningful cultural experiences for the broader College community.
The Aboriginal Education Assistant meets our Aboriginal Advisory Committee twice each term and they offer cultural guidance, mentorship and support, playing a vital role in shaping College initiatives and fostering strong community connections.
Our commitment to Aboriginal education
Our Aboriginal Education Policy, developed in consultation with the Aboriginal Advisory Committee, outlines the College’s commitment to fostering an environment that respects and promotes Aboriginal identity, culture and achievement.
