Safeguarding Children & Vulnerable Adults
Our commitment to child safety and wellbeing
At St Patrick’s College for Girls, the safety, dignity and wellbeing of every student is our highest priority. As a member of the Good Samaritan Education community, we are committed to nurturing a safe and inclusive environment where all children and young people, especially those who may be vulnerable, are protected, empowered and respected.
Inspired by the values of the Rule of Benedict and the teachings of Jesus, we uphold a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of abuse. We actively listen to students, value their voices in decisions that affect them and take deliberate steps to ensure their safety, especially for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, those from culturally diverse backgrounds and students with disabilities.
Creating a child-safe culture is an ongoing responsibility shared by all in our community. Through training, robust policies and a culture of vigilance and care, we work together to be a community in which every girl can grow, learn and thrive feeling safe and valued.
