Creative & Performing Arts

At St Patrick’s College, the Creative and Performing Arts are at the heart of a well-rounded education, empowering students to explore their identity, express themselves confidently and develop their unique voice.

Our students consistently excel across the creative disciplines, earning recognition in Dance, Drama, Visual Arts and Music. Each year, senior students are nominated for prestigious HSC showcases such as ENCORE, OnStage and Callback, and are celebrated among the most outstanding major works in the state.

They bring industry expertise, passion and insight directly to the classroom, inspiring students with firsthand knowledge of the arts world.

Dance

Dance is a vibrant and celebrated discipline at the College. Our students are renowned for their exceptional skill and are offered a wide range of opportunities to showcase their talent, from school performances to community events and formal inter-school competitions and eisteddfods, with a formal curriculum right up to HSC level.
Drama

Drama is inclusive and caters to a wide range of abilities, with a focus on building confidence, creativity and performance skills. The College collaborates with St Gregory’s College on an annual musical production, which is the highlight of the year for many students and allows them the opportunity to work alongside their peers on a large-scale professional production.
Visual Arts

Visual Arts offer students the opportunity to explore their creative potential through hands-on projects. Students are encouraged to use their creative and strategic planning skills to develop major projects and gain a deeper cultural understanding of visual arts.
Music

Music is led by skilled teachers who are also accomplished multi-instrumentalists. Individual music tuition is available on campus through private tutors and group performance opportunities are available through our cocurricular program. Our musicians bring College classrooms and events to life while honing their performance skills and connections with like-minded students.
