From classroom to career
Our Careers Program is staffed by a specialist Careers & Pathways Advisor, who delivers timetabled classes to Year 10 students and provides one-to-one mentoring to students in Years 10 to 12. Through our Senior School program of tailored learning experiences, seminars and events, students can explore and build upon their study and career options based on their aptitudes and interests. They are supported to optimise their elective subject choices according to their post-school plans and are provided with opportunities to undertake work experience in their chosen industry.
A world of work experience opportunities
St Pat’s girls are actively supported to explore real-world workplaces as part of the College curriculum. Thanks to the school’s strong partnerships with local, national and international organisations, our students gain access to highly sought-after work placements and experiences that help them build practical skills, industry knowledge and meaningful professional connections.
Our students engage in work experience placements offered by local businesses, non-profit services and community groups, as well as leading government and industry organisations such as Qantas, NSW Health, the Australian Defence Force and Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation, among many others.
A launchpad for her future
Our renowned Careers Expos and Networking Nights are attended by current families, alumni, business leaders and representatives from major Australian universities and registered training organisations. These events give students opportunities to speak directly with industry professionals, practise the art of networking and gain valuable insights into potential study and career pathways.
