Reflection Days

Reflection Days are an opportunity for students to step outside the normal day to day events as they are invited to move into a deeper level of self-awareness.

This enables girls to reflect upon their own gifts and talents and how they can bring these into the life of the school community. In doing so, students develop a deeper appreciation of the Good Samaritan Charism and Benedictine values which underpin our College. They are also an important opportunity for students to develop the skills necessary to enhance interpersonal relationships.

Year 7: Theme: Go and do likewise.

In discovering the Good Samaritan Tradition and Story, students come to an appreciation of a common history, and shared journey.

Year 8: Theme: To Live Justly.

Focusing on the Benedictine values of stewardship, justice and peace, students appreciate the need to share our gifts and resources with others, and the dignity of work and quality of life.

Year 9: Theme: Heart, Mind and Soul.

In understanding that they themselves are made in the image and likeness of God, the students are given the opportunity to reflect on what it means to be a whole person (mind, body and spirit), leading to an appreciation of life as a gift from God and therefore sacred.
